Synthia Maes lives and works in Ghent where she also obtained her master’s degree in art photography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. During her studies she focused on portrait and reportage photography. Typical for the work of Synthia Maes is the narrative character. With a single image she tells a complete story, whether it’s a portrait or street photography.

Synthia Maes has made numerous photo shoots at home and abroad, and her work has been published several times in magazines, brochures, websites or as book covers. She also regularly exhibited her work.
